Key Patient Services

Opening Times
The surgery doors are open to patients:

New patients
If you’re new to the area, welcome.
If you live within our practice boundaries, you can register as a patient online or in person.

Appointments
We operate a mixture of same day face to face, phone consultations and pre-bookable appointments.
All conditions will be signposted to the most appropriate Clinician by our trained team of call handlers.
Our practice
Our practice team consists of experienced and knowledgeable doctors, nurses and professionals who provide the highest quality of care.
In addition, we have the backing of a wider group of healthcare professionals and organisations that we can refer our patients to.
We are committed to ensuring that all our patients receive the best possible service and treatment, whether this be via a GP or elsewhere. Thank you for choosing Ty Elli Group Practice.

Urgent Appointments
Urgent cases will be seen on the first day by the most appropriate and available physician.
Please note that children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Patients who are deemed to be eligible for an urgent appointment will be offered a ‘same day’ consultation. This could be in person, by phone or via another means.

Cancellations
We strive to give the best care to our patients. Non-attendance at appointments means thousands of our patients each year can’t be seen when they really need to be.
If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Common illnesses
Some conditions occur frequently and are not serious. You will not need to come into surgery, but you can instead administer self-care.
Reviews and procedures
We carry our reviews and procedures in our surgery, in the aim of supporting our patient’s ongoing health and wellbeing.

Paid private services
Some services such as travel vaccinations for example are not covered by the NHS. We are able to help our patients with private service they may require outside of normal service.

Hospital waiting times.
Hospital waiting times can vary by health board and of course by condition. To find out about waiting times that may affect you, find out more via NHS 111.
